Rare 'Mono Mono' Twins Born Holding Hands in Ohio

AKRON, Ohio, May 12 (UPI) --Twin girls in Akron, Ohio, were born holding hands.
Sarah Thistlewaite's identical twin daughters, Jenna and Jillian, shared an amniotic sack and placenta in their mother's womb.

They're called "mono mono" twins, a rare condition that occurs in around 1 in 10,000 twin pregnancies.
"I didn't think they would come out and instantly holding hands. It was overwhelming. I can't even put into words," Thistlewaite told ABC News. "There wasn't a dry eye in the whole OR."
Thistlewaite's pregnancy had to be monitored extensively by doctors, who put her on two months of bed rest.

"It's hard with mono mono because you didn't want them to be born too premature," Amy Kilgore, a rep for Akron General Medical Center told Fox 8. "But if they get too big, the umbilical chords can get twisted."
Jenna and Jillian were delivered by planned C-section on May 9, when she was 33 weeks pregnant.
"Sarah was given the option to deliver between 32 and 34 weeks gestation," her doctor, Melissa Mancuso, said of the risky birth. "We were just having a discussion about how difficult a decision it is to make, weighing the risk of prematurity versus the risks of entanglement. She was excited about having her C-section on May 9 because she would be a 'real mother' on Mothers' Day."

Reach the Finish Line - Amazing Story

Jeffrey Russell ran the last 12 miles of the Boston Marathon holding an umbrella over his sister Jessie so she wouldn’t have to quit due to her lupus. “He knew I would have been very upset had I not finished,” said Jessie, 26. Jessie was diagnosed with lupus during her junior year of high school. The sun often bothers people with lupus, so running a marathon was a gamble. 

By mile 14, Jessie felt terrible and thought she might need to stop. “I thought, ‘the medical tent is up there. I just got to get a little further and I can stop for a bit.’ Out of the corner of my eye, I see this person running at me.” Big brother Jeff had followed her along the route, taking pictures and yelling encouragement. Jessie looked like she was fading and medical tent volunteers told her to be proud she made it to Wellesley. The course was about to be opened up to traffic and water stops would soon be picked up. Jeff told Jessie to stop if she needed to. “But he said ‘if it’s just the sun, I don’t want you to stop. I can be your medical tent. I can be your water stop. Don’t worry about any of that’,” Jessie recalled with tears in her eyes. Jeff ran into Littlebits Toys in Wellesley and bought a children’s umbrella with sharks on it. He said the sharks reminded him of Jessie’s tenacity

In jeans and work boots, Jeff speed-walked next to Jessie wearing her runner’s fanny pack. The pair took it step by step until finally reaching the finish line at 7:16 p.m. “I just love him. I absolutely could not have finished without him there,” Jessie said.

But the more one tries, the bigger the chances are that they will make it. "Trying" equals "not giving up." Hard, tough, disappointing at times.. but all is worth it. Wake Up With A .... DANCE!

The Amazing Hero Dog Buddy

This is the amazing story of the German Shepard Buddy. He lives in Caswell Lakes, Alaska in the home of Ben Heinrichs and the parents of Ben, Thomas and Lynnette Heinrichs.

The April 4^th 2010 began as a normal day for Ben. He was working in the workshop near their house. 

Unfortunately while he was working, a heater touched off chemicals in the shop and instantly caused a fire. In order to confine the flames, Ben slammed the door of the shop. However soon after that he realized that Buddy is still in the shop and Ben went back to try to rescue the dog. He succeeded to take the dog outside from the burning shop. They needed help…

Buddy quickly run off from the place where they were standing and Ben thought that the dog is trying to find a place to hide.

Neighbors of the Heinrichs’ family saw the fire and immediately called the police. The first trooper dispatched to check the case was Terrence Shanigan. However the GPS in the car froze up while he was driving. He got lost in the rural roads. When he was about to take another turn in a wrong direction he noticed a dog on the road. This was Buddy! When Buddy saw the vehicle he begun running in front of it, showing the right direction. He was constantly looking over his shoulder to assure that the car is following him. Soon after that Shanigan saw the burning shop. When he reached his destination Buddy followed him to the house to be sure that he will find the way. The local medias report that immediately after that Buddy returned on the road to guide the fire trucks to the burning house. The Alaska State Police Director Col. Audie Holloway said: "Buddy's valiant actions saved Trooper Shanigan valuable time in responding to the fire. Buddy's pluckiness is a bright spot among an otherwise tragic event for the Heinrichs family."

Buddy was honored for his heroism by the state police headquarters in Anchorage.

14-year-old girl from the US buys a house

Willow Tufano is a bright young girl that managed to buy her first house at the age of 14! Her story is very inspiring and it is a great example that everyone can do something meaningful and brilliant with their time, skills and energy. It is absolutely fascinating. Willow saved the money for the house by selling items on the internet such as household, games etc that people usually throw away. Happy Continueing

What a Happy Ending is? This is what most of us want, but what it is exactly? It is a nice end of a story? This is great, but "end" means "finish," something that kind of stops there. So we stop the story when it has a happy developing and it has a positive message. However I would love it if instead of Happy Ending, i hear more stories for Happy Continuing, or a Happy Beginning. It is not enough to be happy just before the end of the story... I want it every day :)
